It started off life as an '88 TurboCoupe. The wheezy turbo 2.3 might have been enough for Ford, but I needed power. I put the Thunder in Stang with an aluminum head 351W. A T-5 with a posi disc brake rear end helped keep her in line until I sold her when I moved.

Top end: Edelbrock aluminum Performer 351 intake; Hooker super competition 30" headers; Holley 650 double pumper, 50cc pumps, center-hung bowls, milled choke horn
Clutch: Centerforce III; Hays adjustable cable and quadrant; stock '84-'93 Mustang pedal assembly
Transmission: stock T-5 built by Mike Marino
Rear end: 8.8 Quad-shock posi; 3.73 gears; disc brakes

|Empty engine bay. Now home of mad small block! Check out the full length headers, T-5 Mustang 5-speed, and complete lack of factory wiring harness. That's a Lincoln Mark VII anti-lock brake booster assembly, with home-made brake lines.|
|Mustang front bumper cover and headlights. Mercury Capri fenders. Looks great with 16" TurboCoupe wheels and hood scoops. Would have looked better if the hood matched the bumper cover, though! Great for passing cops who go chasing after Mustangs, and don't give those T-bird taillights a second glance!|
|Mustang dash. Happy Massager shift knob. I never had the chance to install the instrument cluster, radio, or trim.|
Note: Somebody is certainly crazier than I am. Street-legal hybrid jet engine powered late-model VW Beetle..
